Check that your site is discoverable by Google
The first step is to check that your website is crawlable by Google. In other words, can Google easily access your site and discover the content there? Because if this is not the case, the pages of your site will not be displayed in the search results. It happens that some companies are not visible on Google for several months, sometimes because of a technical problem that could have been resolved in just a few minutes.
Create useful content for your readers
Once your site is crawlable by Google, you will need to create content. When Google arrives at a web page, it looks at the editorial part (the text) to “understand” what the page is about. Text is an essential, if not essential, element of a visibility strategy on Google. Each page that you want to position in the search engine must therefore contain text.
Make optimizations on your pages
During the writing phase, it is wise to have in mind the keywords on which you want to position your pages. Indeed, for each search you make, Google presents a list of pages in the results. Your objective will therefore be to know which keywords you want to position yourself on, and to insert them in strategic places on your pages, which in SEO are called tags (title tags, meta description tags, Hn tags, etc.)
Let Google know your page exists
When you publish a new page on your site, Google is not aware of it. You have to wait for the user to discover the page to be able to display it in the search results... which can take several weeks, or even several months! To speed up this process, you can tell Google that you have published a new page, using a free tool called Google Search Console (which will first need to be connected to your website).
